The POA has a proud history of recognising the hard work and dedication of members. 

Following the Special Delegates Conference in March 1996, the Executive informed delegates that they would be seeking "two candidates" nominated by branches to attend the TUC Conference annually.

We will hold our Annual Conference to deal wholly with Scottish issues from the 26th of October to the 27th of October 2022, with the training day being held on Friday 26th October 2022

Please bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all POA members.

We will be conducting a workplace ballot in your place of work to gauge the members response to the SPS pay offer for 2022/23.

The Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act 1993 require us to provide the membership with certain information about our accounts and finances.

Due to last minute cancellations the POA is looking for delegates to attend the following TUC Equality Conference 2022.

It would appear that HMPPS, Governors, Senior Management Teams and Shared Services are failing to recognise the rules which must be applied when our members are injured or assaulted at work. The POA National Executive determined that it was time to produce a documentary on the history of the POA.
