SCOTLAND: RE C & R TRAINING

Following on from circular 29 sent on the 14th December we wanted to update you regarding the C&R part.  SPS have given us the assurance we sought that the classroom training is 100% contact free and is classed as ‘refresher training’ not competency-based training. Therefore, this roll out will begin shortly. 

As we previously advised you, we have written to SPS and that we are looking for the 1-year competency be increased to 2 years during this COVID period to safeguard staff who are out of competency.  We are waiting for a response from the employer about this and when we have it, we will inform you of it.
