The POA are proud to be affiliated with Maternity Action. Maternity Action is the UK’s maternity rights charity dedicated to promoting, protecting, and enhancing the rights of all pregnant women, new mothers and their families to employment, social security and health care.

Each year maternity discrimination costs women £112 million in lost wages and maternity pay. 75% of working women have suffered negative experiences due to being pregnant or taking maternity leave. Helping pregnant women, new parents, trade unions and advisors with this complex and complicated area of the law is at the heart of what Maternity Action do.
