The membership will be aware the Tolpuddle Festival will take place on Friday 19 – Sunday 21 July 2024 inclusive. Information can be obtained from: www.tolpuddlemartyrs.org.uk
The POA have agreed once again to organise a “Freedom Hike” from the closed Dorchester Prison to the Tolpuddle Museum on Saturday 20 July 2024. This will cover a distance of approximately 8 miles and will follow the route taken by the Martyrs in 1834, following their repatriation from Australia.
All members wishing to take part in this memorable camping weekend along with the walk should meet at the statue near the museum at 09:30hrs on Saturday 20 July 2024. Transport will be available to Dorchester.
Expressions of interest in regard to camping should be forwarded to Cronin House c/o Angela Sinclair - asone@poauk.org.uk and Dave Todd dave.todd@poauk.org.uk no later than 12noon Friday 28 June 2024.
