CIRC 089: TUC EQUALITY CONFERENCES – 2025 DISABLED, BLACK WORKERS AND LGBT CONFEERENCES

The POA is seeking delegates to attend the following TUC Equality Conferences 2025.

  • TUC Disabled Workers Conference: 20th – 21st May 2025
  • TUC Black Workers Conference: 11th – 13th April 2025
  • TUC LGBT Conference: 26th – 27th June 2025 or 3rd – 4th July 2025 (depending on the date of PRIDE).

The conferences are for those who identify themselves in the categories outlined above and the POA is looking to support three people to attend each of the above conferences. Accommodation and T&S for the conferences will be met by the POA.  The conferences are deemed to be a trade union activity and as such do not automatically qualify for paid time off so members will be required to attend in their own time for all conferences.

In order to express an interest in attending you will need to request a form from Carol Strahan - carol@poauk.org.uk and return for consideration.

We would particularly welcome members who are interested in becoming involved with their local branch committees. Should you wish to discuss this or anything else in respect of Equality please contact either Mick Pimblett – Acting Deputy General Secretary on 07968 317398 or Angela Montgomery – Assistant General Secretary, 07951 056405.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 5th January 2025.

Yours sincerely

MICK PIMBLETT
Acting Deputy General Secretary
