CIRC 066: ANNUAL STAFF SURVEY

Please be reminded that the current policy of the POA is not to engage in completion of the employer’s annual staff survey. This was determined via Conference Motion 42/2010 carried & reaffirmed by Conference Motion 86/2015 not being adopted.

The NEC have previously engaged on a ‘without prejudice’ basis with HMPPS to discuss how future surveys could be refined so that the POA could reconsider its position, however discussions have not reached a resolution. We remain open to future dialogue should HMPPS wish to engage with the POA on future staff surveys.

It remains the belief of the NEC that such surveys are used against our members in relation to the Pay Review Body and related issues.

I would request that this Circular is brought to the attention of all our members in England and Wales. This does not affect the Special Hospitals, Private Sector, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
