CIRC 082: POA WELCOME CALLS

POA are launching welcome calls to all new POA members this week.

How it works - when a new member joins POA, POAProtect will call the member on our behalf, to give them a warm friendly welcome to the union. The call will tell members about the benefits of their POA membership, including their legal assistance, workplace representation, stress helpline and many other benefits.

We will also gain important information during the call, including what motivated them to join the union and how they heard about POA.

At the end of the call, they will ask if the member would like to sign up for their free £5,000 accidental death cover membership benefit. If yes, they will be transferred to another agent to set it up. This is in addition to the £5,600.00 POA death benefit.

The member will be sent an email and SMS prior to the call so that they know that the call is coming and from what number. They will also be sent an email after the call reminding them of all the benefits, with links through to the relevant pages on the POA website. A slightly different email will be sent to those they don’t get to speak with.

The number that POAProtect will be calling from is 0203 836 9750.

When you are recruiting a new member, please mention this call to them, so that they are more receptive when they receive it. If you or your members have any questions related to this, please email Paula at POA paula@poauk.org.uk

Yours sincerely
