HEALTH & SAFETY CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE

Jackie Marshall NEC reports on the work of the Health & Safety Consultative Committee

The Health & Safety Consultative Committee (H&SCC) was formed following a motion to conference. In recent months, the way the H&SCC works has been revised. Its members are now an integral part of the POA H&S structure, but they need local H&S reps to contact them to increase the exchange of information.

Each member of the H&SCC has been given an area of responsibility as a contact for branch POA reps.

The table to the below shows the name, contact details and area of responsibility for each member of the H&SCC.

If you are your establishment’s POA H&S representative, please contact your H&SCC member.

Representing over 30,000 Prison, Correctional and Secure Psychiatric Workers, the POA is the largest UK Union in this sector, able to trace its roots back more than 100 years.
