CIRC 015: PROJECT MANAGER – WALES UNION LEARNING FUND (WULF) FIXED TERM CONTRACT

The current WULF Project Manager, Nigel Williamson will be retiring at the end of April 2025, therefore this will create a vacancy for a new Project Manager.

The Project Manager will directly manage the delivery of the Wales Union Learning Fund project 2025 – 2028 on behalf of the POA.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months from 1st April 2025 – 31st March 2026. There is indicative funding agreed for the period 2026 – 28 and further funding may be announced by the Welsh Government at a future point.

This post is part time, with the requirement to work 21 hours per week. Salary £30,756 per annum. Annual leave will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, with that offered to equivalent full time staff members. Access to a company pension scheme, if directly employed by the POA, is also available after 1 months’ employment.

The successful applicant will report directly to the POA Deputy General Secretary.

Applicants must:

  • Have good organisational skills.
  • Good management skills.
  • Have a good understanding of the lifelong learning agenda in Wales.
  • Have experience in the delivery of training and learning opportunities.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Have practical skills and a good knowledge of information technology.
  • Be able to travel across Wales.
