CIRC 080: PENSIONS - UPDATE

Please note the following information shared with POA by Capita/Cabinet Office this morning. 

From 1st December 2025, Capita will become the administrator for the Civil Service Pension Scheme. There are some important things for you to know and share with members before then. 

The Cut Over period commenced Friday 21st November 2025 and will run to Monday 1st December 2025

During this time, all online services will be impacted. 

Member Portal

The current Member Portal closed from 5pm on Friday 21st November 2025. Members trying to log into their portal account will see a maintenance message. The new Member Portal will be live on Monday 1st December 2025. 

Civil Service Pensions App

The Civil Service Pensions App was decommissioned from 5pm on Friday 21st November 2025. Members will not be able to register or log in. The app will no longer be supported on IOS or Android devices until the new App is live in Spring 2026. 

Civil Service Pensions website 

The CS Pensions website was closed on Wednesday 26th November 2025, until Monday 1st December 2025. Users will not be able to access any online services, i.e. view webpages, download forms, contact the administrator via “contact us” or submit forms etc. 

Please note, links to the website from your intranets may no longer work. 

Helpdesk 0300 123 6666

Up to 5pm on Thursday 27th November 2025, the Helpdesk will only be able to answer limited queries (related to bereavement or urgent financial hardship) and log others until midday on Monday 1st December 2025. 

Overseas members will now be able to use the same contact number as other members, so the number to dial will be 44 300 123 6666. 

The Helpdesk will be closed all day, Friday 28th November, Saturday 29th November and Sunday 30th November 2025. The interactive voice recording will be updated to inform members. 

New mailing address for reference 

All post will be redirected to the new mailing address: Capita Pension Solutions, PO Box 713, Darlington, DL1 9JZ 

Pension payments during blackout 

Partially retired or pensioner members will continue to be paid automatically. 

Registration for the new Portal (from Monday 1st December 2025) 

Members will be able to register on the new Portal (via the website at www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk from Monday 1st December 2025) using a personal email address and National Insurance number. 

Partially retired or pensioner members in receipt of pension do not need to register on the new Portal to receive their pension payments. Benefit payments continue to be paid automatically.
